We all know that the availability of Foreclosure real estate in the Kansas City area is changing daily. Most generally the Foreclosed home is purchased AS IS, although there are a small percentage of banks and mortgage companies that have or are willing to renovate foreclosed homes.

The Short Sale simply means the home is being sold for less than the loan balance of the existing mortgage. Short Sales must be approved by the Bank or Mortgage company holding the existing Mortgage on the property.

There can be many pitfalls and delayed closings when buying Foreclosed and Short Sale homes. Just be sure, you have good representation from your Real Estate Buyer's agent.
